HIDRATICA
reflexiones sobre el agua
Not all waters are the same.
There are murky waters,
dirty waters,
fresh and salty waters,
inhabited waters.
There is hydrogen and oxygen,
water in the desert and floods,
drinking water,
crystal-clear water,
purifying water and holy water.
Steam, rain, hail, snow, seas, rivers, glaciers, dew.
Scarcity, abundance?

A minimal circus performance with object manipulation and video projections.
Hidrática is an interdisciplinary, non-realist piece.
It is a performance of physical theatre, minimal circus, object manipulation, and video projections.
The work unfolds through a series of independent scenes that subtly reflect the relationship between human beings and water. The scenes shift from the concrete to the abstract, inviting us to imagine our present and future connection with water.
An atemporal character inhabits a surreal room conceived as an ecological device that collects, filters, and recycles water. A woman or a bird, purification or thirst, lightness or heaviness.
The piece presents concrete actions, practical solutions, and dreamlike images—visions of water that is present, and nightmares of water that is absent.
